Starting August 16 for a limited time only, the adoption fee for all cats 6 months of age and older will be $50. The fee for all kittens younger than 6 months old will be $75.

Cats and kittens have been tested for feline leukemia and feline FIV. All were negative at the time of testing. Kittens and cats have begun their vaccinations and have been wormed. ARF cats are well-socialized. Daily, they are visited by volunteers, who cuddle, pet and play with them. They are accustomed to indoor living and to company of other cats. They have been exposed to, but are not necessarily fond of, dogs. For the most part, they have good kitty litter training.

Patches was brought to ARF with her two teenage kittens: Midnight and Tiger. Midnight has been adopted, but Patches and Tiger are still waiting for their special person to come adopt them. Patches is a dominant girl but she'll still let out a purr when she's cuddled. She likes to grab hold as she's put back in her cage, probably hoping that she'll be allowed to stay out and get loved on some more. Her stunning gold eyes and round black face give her the look of an owl as she stares down from her cage. She's a small to medium sized cat meowing out for someone to take her home.

Tiger arrived at ARF with his sister Midnight and his mom Patches. Midnight has been adopted, but Tiger and Patches still await their chance. While his mom is a big talker, Tiger is very laid back and quiet here. But that doesn’t mean he won’t get up and play when he has the chance. Tiger is a large boy, almost double the size of his little mother. He wants everyone to know that just because he doesn’t have unusual markings and isn’t a kitten anymore doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t make the perfect addition to the family.

Sprite along with OJ were found abandoned the day before Thanksgiving. While their relation is unknown we think they might be different generation brothers. Sprite is a bit reserved at first, but plays well with cats and people. Sprite came into the shelter when there weren’t many other kittens, but it was also a time when few seemed to be looking for kittens to adopt, so he has grown up here. Sprite is only about half the size of OJ, but he may still have some growing to do.
